SALES MANAGER

Reporting to: Business Unit Director – Healthcare

Location: Milton Keynes/Home

The role

To support the continued growth of our healthcare solutions division, we are looking to recruit an experienced Sales Manager. The purpose of this role is to effectively manage the sales and business development aspects of the healthcare division, including directly approaching and winning new end-user accounts and partner relationships within the Healthcare market. Responsibilities include:

  • Understanding the healthcare business and strategy to enable account development with the division
  • Identifying and creating relationships with NHS trusts and business partners
  • Finding and qualifying leads to get on tender lists
  • Understanding the healthcare market sector, current and future trends to ensure the business is aligned and focused on the right solution
  • Creating a proactive strategy for business to include mutual objectives, performance reviews and expectations
  • Working with the Business Unit Director – Healthcare to review development paths, market strategies and business relationships
  • Working with the healthcare development team to develop customer requirements, ensuring it is within the business capability
  • Maintaining customer contact through regular face to face meetings
  • Monthly reporting of orders, prospects and account development
  • Ensuring effective reporting of sales activity via CRM / Weekly reports and deadlines are adhered to

The Candidate

The ideal candidate must be a proven, self-motivated Sales and Account Management professional with a minimum of 3 years NHS/healthcare experience, with preference given to those who have worked in a software business area. Other key knowledge and skill requirements include:

  • Ability to manage effective working relationships internally and ability to demonstrate a ‘Team Player’ approach
  • Ability to make commercially justifiable decisions
  • Ability to develop relationships quickly and comfortably both within the organisation as well as with customers and prospective customers at all levels
  • A ‘CAN-DO’ approach
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven selling and negotiation skills
  • Customer and market focus
  • Effective time management
  • Full driving licence (UK or acceptable in UK)
  • Ability to write clear and concise English with impeccable grammar

Salary and Benefits

For this position Harland Simon is offering a competitive salary depending on experience, company car/car allowance, 26 days holiday and a contributory company pension scheme (after successful completion of a probationary period).
