Harland Simon supports Children in Need

For the first time employees at Harland Simon have held an internal fund raising event to support BBC Children in Need, collecting a total of £427.60 and smashing their original fund raising target. Money was raised with activities including a raffle, bake sale and a ‘Guess the Pudsey’ competition. The amount was then matched by a contribution from the company, bringing the grand total up to £855.20.

Harland Simon’s CEO, Mrs Evelyn Ashman, commented:

“BBC Children in Need, which helps children and young people in communities across the UK, is a charity which has really resonated with our staff. We are delighted to support this wonderful charity with our donation.”

In addition to staff contributions, the fund raising event was supported by a number of local businesses, who generously donated prizes. These include:

  • Gaynors Cakes MK
  • Middleton’s Restaurant
  • Woburn Abbey House and Grounds
  • MK Dons
  • Purple Mango Indian Restaurant
  • Planet Ice
  • Kingfisher Country Club

Nikki Day, Sales Office Administrator at Harland Simon and organiser of the fundraising activities, said:

“We would like to thank our generous sponsors, who have helped us succeed in raising so much money. It’s been great as we are not only helping a great cause, but today has also reinforced the team spirit at Harland Simon.”
